Cheesy Cheeseburger Ingredients

  • 4 beef burger patties
  • 4 slices of burger cheese
  • 4 baby cos lettuce leaves
  • Pickled cucumber
  • 2 Truss tomatoes
  • Whole egg mayo
  • Tomato sauce/ketchup
  • American mustard
  • Lime juice 1 teaspoon
  • Tabasco

Method

Step 1

Cut the tomatoes into thin even slices, cut the pickled cucumber into lovely bite sizes

Step 2

Break off, wash and dry 4 perfect baby cos lettuce pieces

Step 3

Crank up the barbie grill to medium-high

Step 4

While the grill is getting hot, make the special burger sauce using 1-part mayo, 1-part ketchup, 1-part American mustard. Whisk it together in a teacup. Then add 1 teaspoon of lime juice and 6-8 drops of tabasco. Whisk again! Done!

Step 5

Get a large flat pan on stove on medium heat

Step 6

Throw the patties on the grill

Step 7

Halve the brioche buns and spread each inner side with butter. Throw the side with butter face down on the pan to crisp up. Just throw two pairs on the pan for the meantime which is probably all that will fit!

Step 8

Tend the barbie while the buns are getting crisp and turn the patties. When the patties are looking close to being ready turn for the last time before adding the cheese on top, closing the barbie lid, and turning the grill to low heat

Step 9

Meanwhile the first pair of buns on the pan should now be crisp, remove when done and put on plate ready for plating up. Throw the other 2 pairs of buns face down in the pan and repeat the process

Step 10

Remove the beef patties from the barbie and plate up the first buns. Place the burger with melted cheese on the lower side of the bun, spread a few generous teaspoons of the special sauce on to the patty, add the tomato, then the pickles, lastly place on top a perfect cos lettuce leaf, then close the lid on the burger!

Step 11

Having plated the first 2 burgers, the buns for the second pair of burgers should now be ready for plating and repeat the process. Viola ...the perfect brioche beef cheeseburgers!
